WARFARE THEOLOGY AND THE COMING 4TH REICH
Comparing
THE SYMPTOMS
We live in troubled times no doubt, the world is full of hostile, and even evil people. As Christians, we have for 20 centuries now, had to deal with all manner of evil as it seems to freely move about in our lives, our countries, and even our churches. We are reminded of the words of the Prophet who said...
Righteous art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? Wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously?
[Jeremiah 12: 1]
It seems that in our world, those who steal, presume, extort, intimidate, lie, kill, and ignore the commands of our God, are rewarded with all manner of positive reinforcement for their deeds. This constant borage of inequity eats away at the Christian, who has adopted an attitude of justice, love, truth, obedience to God, and to shun evil practices that we know displease God. In a society that professes a form of Godliness, this constant injustice can brew for decades in the subconscious of the people and brew a strong sense of injustice and anger. A people can become so disillusioned with the world around them, that even without consciously deciding to do so, a spirit of indignation can build toward the world around them. They can begin to adopt an attitude of spiritual, and intellectual superiority towards others who are not "of their camp", or of their society. Although that attitude starts out from a holy standard that exists in the hearts of said people, it can become much more than that... much, much more.
The setting is
"I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so"
[Adolf Hitler, to Gen. Gerhard Engel, 1941]
"I believe today that my conduct is in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator."
[Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf]
"And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly, it is the distress which daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people. And when I look on my people I see it work and work and toil and labor, and at the end of the week it has only for its wage wretchedness and misery. When I go out in the morning and see these men standing in their queues and look into their pinched faces, then I believe I would be no Christian, but a very devil, if I felt no pity for them, if I did not, as did our Lord two thousand years ago, turn against those by whom today this poor people is plundered and exploited."
[Adolf Hitler, Speech in
"Parallel to the training of the body a struggle against the poisoning of the soul must begin. Our whole public life today is like a hothouse for sexual ideas and simulations. Just look at the bill of fare served up in our movies, vaudeville and theaters, and you will hardly be able to deny that this is not the right kind of food, particularly for the youth...Theater, art, literature, cinema, press, posters, and window displays must be cleansed of all manifestations of our rotting world and placed in the service of a moral, political, and cultural ideal."
[Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf ]
How Hitler Became a Dictator |
Adolf Hitler came to power in
"It is not worthwhile to try to keep history from repeating itself, for man's character will always make the preventing of the repetitions impossible."
[Mark Twain in Eruption]
I wish to accomplish in the reader this exact goal in looking back at an event in history that has, in my view, a lot of forgotten, unknown, and meaningful lessons. The religious right, the Christian coalition, and those who subscribe to this New World Order mentality, Christian supporters of the War on Terror, and this wave of Warfare theology, had better lend an ear...
It wasn't until well into Hitler's rule that people in Germany began to act on their regrets, that they realized that they had "created a monster" so to speak, and by then it was too late. In spite of a meager outcry when he was elected, that disputed the legitimacy of his victory; he had become an extremely popular leader. People in
1. A strong influx of Immorality exposing itself in the public eye, and working feverishly to embed itself in society and become commonplace.
2. A population made up of a weighty majority of Christians, wishing to live in a place where it was safe to send their young people to theaters.
3. A collective indignation toward the "evil" spreading like cancer in their society and claiming the lives and opinions of its youth.
4. A workforce of people out of work, struggling to survive, and seeing an elite class hoarding most of the collective wealth.
5. An indisputable majority of the people boiling over current affairs, a ticking time bomb, waiting for its fuse. (Adolf Hitler was that fuse.)
But, as we all know, after coming to power, no, into indisputable power, Hitler morphed into an entirely different creature. Ironically, his campaign of death began with "A War on Terror". Here is the mentality that comes from the arrogance of control, and the need to manipulate masses of people to fight for your agenda...
"Only in the steady and constant application of force lies the very first prerequisite for success. This persistence, however, can always and only arise from a definite spiritual conviction. Any violence which does not spring from a firm, spiritual base, will be wavering and uncertain."
[Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf]
Man! look at that! The funny thing about these quotes, is that they were in his most famous writings, which were done WAY before he came to power in
"If I had known that I would someday become chancellor, I would not have written Mein Kampf."
[Adolf Hitler in a speech before the Reichstag]
It seems unthinkable to compare the series of events that transpired in Germany in the 30s to the events of any other nation or people or time, as the world sincerely believes that we could never let something so brutal, so atrocious, rear its ugly head in a time when we are so advanced, so intelligent, so "in control" of our world... Right?
LOOK AT THE WORLD TODAY...
I remember when I was young and growing up in the Christian community. I remember the late 60s and early 70s when the drug culture was the order of the day, when open sexuality and pornography was the outrage of every Christian church, and in every sermon, strong words were spoken against the immorality that was "running rampant" in our society. For the past 40 years, things have only escalated, and the frustration that exists in the Christian community today has grown to truly epic levels. Over the course of the last ten years especially, tokens of our Faith have been systematically removed from public life, in the name of freedom. Prayer in schools was lost many years earlier, statues which embrace the foundations of our faith, have been labeled offensive, expressions of love for God have become taboo in the American lifestyle. Pornography and the makers of such are royalty here, millions and millions of unborn children have been killed by people unwilling to face the consequences of their actions, and have structured their laws to enable them to not have to. Christians are furious over these developments, and many of the Christian leaders of the day have been speaking to these issues, as they attempt to rally action from the masses.... to militantly, if necessary "rise up" against these developments. The founder of the Christian coalition...
"For domestic tranquility there must be a police force and a system of justice capable of bringing sure and swift punishment upon those who rebel against society."
[Pat Robertson in his book "The Secret Kingdom"]
The context of Robertson's book is a discussion on what it will take to bring about his longed for "Christian Society". Another quote in 1992...
"Expect confrontations that will be not only unpleasant but at times physically bloody ... This decade will not be for the faint of heart, but the resolute. Institutions will be plunged into wrenching change. We will be living through one of the most tumultuous periods of human history. When it is over, I am convinced God's people will emerge victorious. But no victory ever comes without a battle."
How about - R. J. Rushdooney, Reconstructionist Theologian (Rutherford Institute)...
"In winning a nation to the gospel, the sword as well as the pen must be used."
Randall Terry, Founder of Operation Rescue (a Christian organization)...
"I want you to just let a wave of intolerance wash over you. I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good ... Our goal is a Christian nation. We have a biblical duty, we are called by God to conquer this country. We don't want equal time. We don't want pluralism."
And of course Jerry Fallwell, founder of the Moral Majority...
"We must fight against those radical minorities who are trying to remove God from our textbooks, Christ from our nation. We must take back what is rightfully ours."
These statements, are the foundation on which what I am calling "Warfare Theology" is based. As I said earlier, I don't necessarily argue, or agree or disagree with these statements here, I simply provide them in support of the purpose of this article. I wonder if the reader can begin to see the parallels being drawn here. If not, why don't we list them, and examine our situation...
1. A strong influx of Immorality exposing itself in the public eye, and working feverishly to embed itself in society and become commonplace.
2. A population made up of a weighty majority of Christians, (80%), wishing to live in a place where it is safe to send their young people to theaters, schools etc.
3. A collective indignation toward the "evil" spreading like cancer in our society and claiming the lives and opinions of our youth.
4. A workforce of people out of work, struggling to survive, and seeing an elite class hoarding most of the collective wealth, while their jobs are shipped overseas to "slave labor".
5. An indisputable majority of the people boiling over current affairs, a ticking time bomb, waiting for its fuse.
(do you see that these conditions are merely copied from above?)
Am I saying that George Bush is the fuse for
I would like to say that the forgotten lesson I mentioned earlier in this document is that the people don't often take a hard enough look at the leaders they elect, believing them to be Christians. This was the mistake of the Germans in the 30s, the population was so moved by the closing of the cabaret society, they didn't stop to read Mein Kampf, to see who Adolf Hitler really was. They happily followed his lead, turning a blind eye, as the small atrocities turned to large ones, and fell prey to serving a brutal dictatorship, responsible for millions of deaths in the name of "War against evil". Jesus said "You will know them by their fruits." but when people simply refuse to acknowledge the fruits of people they wish to trust, they will eventually be trampled by those people. Anyone can say they are a Christian, I find it tragic and surreal that the Christian public in America is capable of sweeping obvious lies, deceit, and treachery under the carpet, with concepts like "We are supposed to respect and obey our leaders" and "America is a Christian nation". This is absurd! Since when has "who is doing it" become the justification for deeds? Where in the bible does the word indicate that we are to "respect and obey" leadership that opposes the principals of our Lord?
After 9-11, some of our most basic freedoms were lost in the Patriot Act, and I promise you, you will see more and more of the same in the coming years. The current Administration has learned a few things from the 3rd Reich as well, namely anyone who speaks out or against the action in Iraq, is labeled as unpatriotic, anti-soldier, and out right un-American. This is exactly what the 3rd Reich did with dissenters.
Our Government now has the ability to bring one before a military tribunal, with no representation, and execute them. Under the Patriot Act, We could be subject to that same fate for the articles on this site, and we simply "speak out" against what we know is wrong. Don't be deceived! There is no secret to the fact thatIn closing I would like to bring up some chilling facts, that make this a scary, ominous document. first, here is a quote from Hitler...
"It is thus necessary that the individual should come to realize that his own ego is of no importance in comparison with the existence of his nation; that the position of the individual ego is conditioned solely by the interests of the nation as a whole ... that above all, the unity of a nation's spirit and will are worth far more than the freedom of the spirit and will of an individual. .... This state of mind, which subordinates the interests of the ego to the conservation of the community, is really the first premise for every truly human culture .... we understand only the individual's capacity to make sacrifices for the community, for his fellow man."
(Adolf Hitler, 1933)
And here are some from American political figures, some that I believe we haven't heard the last of, just in case anyone thinks this mentality is restricted to the Republican side of the political spectrum...
The War On Terrorism
"We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans ..."
Bill Clinton, March 11, 1993
"We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society."
Hillary Clinton, also in a speech 1993
There are MANY parallels that can be drawn between the events in
NAZI
Fortunately for the world of the 1930s, there came a greater power, capable of bringing down the reign of terror the 3rd Reich intended to impose on the world..
The current administration will continue in 2004, as a result of its handling of another world shaking terrorist act against
The Presidency of the
I believe the Draft, or some form of mandated service to the country will be re-instated, before the end of 2005.
I believe the American Government will "force" the peace issue between
