In Operation Paperclip, America derived secret technology and science from the Nazis, that it now uses at Area 51......

According to Tom Bower’s book The Paperclip Conspiracy:

Operation Paperclip

Site Meter

The Paperclip Conspiracy was the climax of an astonishing battle between the Allies in the aftermath of war to seize the spoils of Nazi Germany: a successful plot by senior officers in the Pentagon to rewrite the wartime record of brilliant German scientists. Men who were classified as ‘ardent Nazis’ were chosen - just weeks after Hitler’s defeat - to become ‘respectable’ American citizens. [1]

Some in Britain, too, conspired to employ Nazis, seeing that as their last hope for economic recovery, but were opposed by outraged politicians and officials. While they argued, their erstwhile Allies advantageously hired the most incriminated Germans - the French and the Russians took on anyone regardless of their crimes, and the Americans through a taut web of deceit, sanitised the murderous record of Nazi scientists.... reveals for the first time the despair, lies and calculating ruthlessness of Allied politicians, officers, civil servants and businessman who, after five years of bitter war, openly began fighting amongst themselves about the plunders and profit of victory. The pawns in the middle were the men, machines and secrets of the Third Reich, but the ultimate victors were the Germans themselves. [1]

Neil Armstrong’s epic landing on the moon in 1969 was courtesy of two groups of Germans: Wernher von Braun’s rocket team, which approved the use of slave labour to build the V2 rocket, and the German aviation doctors whose pioneering experiments had included fatal tests on the inmates at Dachau...[1]

Keeping the operation totally secret was impossible, since the Germans were scattered around the country and were mingling with American citizens. Because the government’s first announcement had, deliberately, never been contradicted, the public believed the Germans were just temporary visitors. Yet the rest of the operation was top secret, and it fell to the army to deflect attention away from the secret long - term immigration and denial policies. This policy of deception would soon be extended towards the State Department and the White House. In the spring of 1946, however, it simply amounted to emphasising the harmlessness of the Germans and their potential benefit to America. [2]

I wonder if  the ‘diversion of public attention' was the UFO topic? Where public wondered if strange objects in the sky were alien craft, when more likely they were aircraft being tested. But because these Nazi scientists were working on these secret aircraft, it was too close to being the truth, if one made the connection Nazi instead of Alien. And so it was a deception campaign that got out of hand? Later the topic of UFOs may have turned into a more complicated set of different phenomenon?

Bower continues:

Gruhn hoped to control potential criticism by arranging a visit for journalists to Wright Field to meet ‘representative German scientists.’ In a lengthy press release, he described the recruits as ‘comparable to Prof. Einstein’, and cited the new denial policy as evidence that the government was ‘using vacuum cleaner methods to acquire all the technical and scientific information that the Germans have.’ Had the press been more alert, Gruhn could have been seriously embarrassed. Einstein had vigorously protested to President Truman about allowing German scientists into America, and apparently no one realized that there was a possibility of large numbers of Germans arriving in the USA. [2]

The press in 1946, were too ‘dumb’ to add two and two together, and deduce there was a scandal going on with large numbers of Nazi Scientists suddenly starting to work long term in America.

If someone had been clever, and added together ‘large numbers of Nazi scientists working at Wright Field on aircraft,’ with ‘sightings of strange crafts in the sky,’ the answer then would have been man made crafts not alien crafts, but the public found the idea of aliens more exotic and got diverted.

But what about this "...lengthy press release, he described the recruits as ‘comparable to Prof. Einstein’," mere ‘hype’? Or could he have been telling the truth? The scientific environment that led to the creation of Einstein, could have easily led to scientists of his calibre, and it did! Einstein was not some lone genius coming from nowhere, he was in a community of German scientists that were of his same calibre. How else, would Germany suddenly make a leap in technology during the war? It had to make that leap, because:

Germany's declaration of war against America and the abortive invasion of Russia had forced Hitler, at the beginning of 1942, to change his strategy from a short - to a long - term war. Admiral Dönitz’s submarine designers began a crash programme which pushed technical frontiers far beyond anything envisaged two years earlier. New U - boats were designed to dive to six hundred feet, a specification which the Admiralty found incredible since British designers were unable to produce anything similar; special supply - submarines , ‘Milch Cows’, which could replenish the U - boats at sea, were sent out into the Atlantic, permitting the packs to sustain longer operations ...... [3]

And we all know about the V- weapons etc. Germany just stepped up its technological capability because it had the potential to do so; it had Einstein caliber scientists and engineers. The result:

On the eve of the Normandy landings, both American and British army chiefs privately acknowledged that their soldiers, fighting with inferior weapons, would suffer an enormous disadvantage............ [4]

And the Allies suddenly became engaged in a ‘mad rush’ to acquire Nazi technology and science:

All four wartime allies, the Americans, British, Russians and French became involved in the frantic and at times ruthless competition for German scientists [because] the use of Germans was simply not contemplated until as late as 1945. On the contrary, until the eve of peace, the notion of associating on equal terms with the men who had helped Hitler’s regime perfect weapons to kill Allied citizens was totally unthinkable.......But that sudden reversal in policy happened at the same time as the concentration camps and the worst crimes of the Nazis were discovered. [5]

It remains a very unpalatable fact that at the very moment when thousands of determined Allied officers began the hunt for German scientists, only a very few were charged to seek out the war criminals. [6]

Originally, a small number of ex-Nazis were supposed to be imported, but more were wanted:

Officially, Paperclip was terminated on 30 September 1947. In a public statement, the army announced that during the ‘procurement phase’, 457 scientists and 453 dependants had been brought to America. But with so much unfinished business and so many demands from the military for more scientists, the pressure for continuation was overwhelming. [7]

In order to achieve that object, the air force orchestrated a public chorus of praise extolling the genius of the German genius. Two hundred and nine scientists owned by the air force, it was claimed, had begun to open up new horizons in weapons technology, hitherto undreamed of. In the Air Staff’s opinion, they were ‘superlative specialists .... the best available in the world today’, and they were saving the air force millions of dollars and up to ten years’ work. ‘These German engineers,' they asserted, ‘are industrious, have technical and scientific training second to none, have production and operational experience in all types of advanced aircraft power plants and have demonstrated initiative, invention and practicability of design.’ [7]

The air force proceeded to inundate Washington with an endless series of secret reports which listed projects masterminded by the Germans. Already under way were trials and experiments designed to test the feasibility of diesel engine, new fuels and lubricants, guided missile control, helicopters, high - temperature alloys, precision optics, infra-red detectors, in-flight refuelling, pilot’s equipment for high- altitude flying, ribbon parachutes and a gun sight for night - fighters ‘of epoch - making importance’. Most astounding of all were the advances in jet aircraft development which the German scientists had allegedly achieved. Zobel, Götheret and Walther Boccius had delivered amazing calculations regarding aeroplane structures and delta-wing configurations and aerodynamics, which finally convinced the air force of the superiority of German over Allied designs. Other impressive achievements included pioneering work on engine test stands, optic developments for high- altitude reconnaissance, mapping, gun sights and evapographs. In the revolution of air warfare, the German contribution seemed paramount. [8]

From the ordnance laboratory in Maryland, the navy reported that the German mathematicians, aerodynamicists and experts in heat transfer had proved that ‘their professional education and training’ were ‘superior to that of any US personnel available.' The Kochel wind tunnel was running at Mach 8, three times the speed and ten years ahead of the best American wind tunnel. Other Germans had produced original research on acoustic weapons, counter- devices and explosives, and the Signal Corps reported that the Germans had ‘made contributions of an unusual and fundamental nature’ in the realms of equipment design and development, generators, microwave techniques and crystal structures. [8]

To critics, the general euphoria seemed suspect. Later analysis would, in fact, suggest that some of the research was little more than a year ahead of the field, and the Germans’ true value was their availability as highly experienced technicians and engineers - cheap labour for the military, who could not afford to hire Americans with similar qualifications. Equally, the assertion that the Germans were more security- conscious than Americans and could consequently be trusted, did not correspond to the alarm with which the news of German scientists' duplicity in France was received. Throughout 1947, British and American intelligence reported the fears of General Libessart, the head of the French Ballistics and Aeronautics Research Centre in St Louis, about the Germans working for their own ends in a conspiracy with other German groups working both for Britain and Russia. [8]

Most Nazi scientists became American citizens:

..quietly operating behind a screen of misinformation, JIOA officers were plotting the perfect solution: to rewrite and sanitize the Nazi’s wartime activities by falsifying the security reports which were a vital preliminary for the scientists’ visas and their eventual citizenship. [9]

So, there we have it, a good part of the solution to UFOs when 'they' first started ‘they’ were part of a misinformation diversion from Operation Paperclip, but it then soon got out of hand. The ‘diversion’ was too close to what was really going on. With time the UFO phenomenon evolved into encompassing a much wider range of things. It started as strange crafts in the sky, and became strange encounters with possible aliens and numerous other related topics.

But these reports from witnesses of aliens, how reliable are they?

There are a larger number of people today that have a Spiritual New Age outlook on life, and these sort of people believe that dreams are just as important as waking experiences. So, how many reported alien encounters are merely from witnesses that believe dreams are reality, and how many are ‘real’ waking experiences? I have no idea. From the humble beginning of diversion from Operation Paperclip, the UFO phenomenon now encompasses a great many things than what it originally was all about. To the word UFO there has been stuck numerous other mysteries than what it originally started as. And there still might be aliens out there. We were easily diverted in the past from what was ‘really’ going on, so how much misinformation do we get today that diverts us from knowing what is ‘really’ going on now?

The corruption of this misinformation could run very deep. It might have fostered upon us New Age Religious ideas that are nonsense, and given us a false science, while the science practised at Area 51 is very different from that taught at public access Universities.

1947 brought the passage of the National Security Act, the start of the Nazi germinated CIA and NSA. The influx of at least a hundred Nazi scientists, engineers, etc., into the United States and Canada. (Note: Other sources claim that eventually over 3000 Nazi S.S. agents entered the U.S. in this manner. NOT former Nazi's but ACTIVE Nazi SS who still maintained the national socialist philosophy and agendas which they intended to carry through on to their planned conclusion. They were given refuge within the military-industrial complex with the help of members of the Bavarian-based black gnostic -- serpent worshipping -- lodges in America, such as the Jesuit-spawned Scottish Rite and related lodges who control the oil-military-industrial complex. The leaders of the Military-Industrial Complex or M.I.C. not only gave these fascists refuge following the war, but also had financed the Nazi war machine itself during the Second World War.

A Nazi aeronautical engineer, a certain Herr Miethe -- who had designed four different types of saucer shaped craft by 1943 using either rocket power or donut configuration jet turbine engines, with the cabin stabilized by gyro, the compressors rotating in one direction and the expansion chambers and vectored exhausts rotating in the opposite direction -- was traced to Canada in 1947 and began work for the A. V. Roe company [Avro disk]. The phony AVRO 'Aircar' was definitely to disinform the press as to the real projects underway underground in Canada.

The eight mile long train that went out of Austria in 1945 [672 train cars!], to the coast of Brittany, the contents loaded on board SHIPS, eventually end[ed] up underground in Southwestern Canada. At the same time over 100 prefab factory buildings were shipped from England to British Columbia.

The Nazis had everything before any other country, they had radar in 1933, they had infra-red sensors, heavy water, etc., etc.

We have been told lie after lie in terms of who invented these things.

If anyone in the world had access to 'alien' technology it was the...'Aryans' [Nazis]. Their metallurgy and casting were flawed or they would have conquered the world. As you probably know, many expatriate Nazis were given carte blanche, new I.D.'s., and were included in [the] startup of more than several departments of the CIA in 1947. Departments including 'genetics and cloning' [with some of the same 'doctors' who had given death camp residents gangrene, etc.] 'designer drugs and mind control' using the same scientists who had designed Methadone and Methedrine for Hitler's maniac efforts. In 1952, a public stir caused the CIA to shuffle these fab fellows out of town. My guess is to various underground centers that were being built.

Federal UFO/Mind Control Initiative

On April 29, 1945
the 363rd Medical Battalion entered Experimentation Block Five at Dachau, the setting of pitiless terminal experiments on prisoners.

Inside, the medics were met by the stench of human putrescence and the shock of bloody body parts strewn from one end of the block to the other. The men who'd engaged in the cull were highly respected German scientists and academics. Despite the atrocities, many of the medical criminals escaped justice at Nuremberg with a cheerful assist from the US Army Air Force and vanished into the secret netherworld of Project Paperclip.

For 19 years, this was the caliber of scientist assigned to Edgewood Arsenal and a program overseen jointly by the US Army Intelligence Board and the chemical-warfare laboratories at the research facility in Maryland--to whip up blistering chemical warfare agents and potent psychoactive compounds for testing on "our boys." The American peers of the Paperclip talent, drawing knowledge and inspiration from the Dachau experimentation records, tested powerful toxins in a wide range of non-consensual mind control experiments involving at least 7,000 military guinea pigs at Edgewood.

The State Department has admitted that between 1945 and 1952, 642 "alien specialists" emigrated to the United States. But journalist Linda Hunt, in Secret Agenda, a history of Paperclip, discovered that at least 1,600 "scientific and research specialists and thousands of their dependents were brought to the US [and] hundreds of others arrived under two other Paperclip-related projects and went to work for universities, defense contractors and CIA fronts."

The State Department's fuzzy math and memory gave rise to a "lie that concealed some of the most damning information about the project--in particular the shocking revelation that one of the intelligence officers who ran it was a spy." This would be Lieutenant Colonel William Henry Whalen, "the highest-placed American military officer ever convicted of espionage.... He was running Paperclip at the same time he was selling America's defense secrets to Soviet intelligence agents." The FBI arrested Whelan -- then intelligence adviser to the Army chief of staff and a paid mole for the Russian Intelligence Service--in 1962. He received a very liberal sentence for the sale of US nuclear weapon secrets and strategies to the Soviets--six years behind bars before parole.

The Final Solution to the Free Thought Question

Meanwhile, in the brainwash division, the CIA gradually seized control of Project Paperclip and all human medical experimentation at Edgewood Arsenal. "By 1951," Linda Hunt writes, "in the midst of the Korean War, the Paperclip scientists' primary job was to locate plants and poisons that could be turned into new hallucinogenic mind control drugs." To this end, Seymour Silver founded an industrial liaison front with ties to every major pharmaceutical company in the world, particularly I.G. Farben, the German Siamese twin of the Rockefeller petrochemical empire with key personnel planted in strategic places within the Nazi hierarchy. I.G Farben was also a chief consultant to the scientists at Edgewood after the war. Dr. Ray Treichler, assistant to the director of the medical lab and an agent of the CIA's Technical Services Division, participated in the experimentation. Edgewood-Nazi chemist Friedrich Hoffman sidelined as a psychochemical specialist on the CIA payroll. By 1955, the experimentation was run primarily from Langley.

The Joint Intelligence Objectives Committee, the central military authority engaged in mind control experiments at Edgewood, had been immersed in Paperclip from the start. JIOC officials included the Project's Brigadier General John Samford, ranking Air Force intelligence official and later director of the NSA, and US Army Intelligence Director Alexander Bolling, one of several military officials who attended a summer-long debriefing on Nazi affairs from Reinhard Gehlen, Hitler's intelligence czar, at Fort Hunt, VA. (This very meeting initiated the Cold War, a fact that has lost its way to most history books.

Journalist Martin A. Lee:

Gehlen returned to
West Germany in the summer of 1946 with a mandate to rebuild his espionage organization and resume spying on the East at the behest of American intelligence. The date is significant as it preceded the onset of the Cold War. The approved historical account claims that the Cold War did not begin for another year. "Washington was in a Cold War mode sooner than most people realize. The Gehlen gambit also belies the prevalent Western notion that aggressive Soviet policies were primarily to blame for triggering the Cold War.

The director of the JOIA was Navy Captain Bosquet N. Wev, who made his argument for the recruitment of Nazis in an April 27, 1948 in a memo to the Pentagon's Director of Intelligence. Captain Wev was peeved at the "biased considerations" behind federal investigations of Nazi war criminals on domestic soil. These, he opined, were rendered irrelevant by the end of the war. "To continue to treat Nazi affiliations as significant considerations has been aptly phrased as ‘beating a dead Nazi horse.'"

The results of Nazi medical experimentation on American citizens were predictable, really. Hunt explains that the direction of Paperclip

was set now that
Edgewood had made its pact with the devil. The drug experimentation project quickly expanded to include psychiatric patients who were drugged, shocked and hypnotized in psychochemical experiments conducted under Army contracts with numerous universities and other institutions.

Some of the trials could have occurred at
Dachau. Hunt:

American psychiatrist Paul Hoch's experiments on mental patients at the New York Psychiatric Institute, where he was employed under Edgewood contracts as a CIA consultant, killed one patient and seriously injured another... even after [a] patient's death, the Army approved additional experiments on patients that included the use of hypnosis, drugs and a polygraph exam to determine if ‘a particular personality type might ‘break' more rapidly under drug stress than another type' during military interrogations.

The mind-control program was often recklessly run. In 1977, a Select Committee on Intelligence investigation of the brutality found that in "the Army's tests, as with those of the CIA... informed consent and follow-up examinations of subjects were neglected in efforts to maintain the secrecy of the tests." Edgewood scientists subordinated human rights "to national security considerations.

Concealing the Germans and the continuation of Dachau biochemical experimentation on American soldiers was the overriding priority for obvious reasons, but fear of exposure was dispelled by good ol' Yankee-Nazi ingenuity. In 1960, scientists on CIA contract perfected Electronic Dissolution of Memory (EDOM), brain technology that obliterates short-term recall, a giant step for covert medical experimentation. With EDOM, a human guinea pig was left with no memory of abduction, needles or other surgical and biochemical outrages. And an electronically induced hypnotic state, also perfected by CIA scientists in 1960, made it possible to alter all memory of the event to conceal the identities of the culprits.

Electronic dissolution of memory brought two Paperclip Nazi divisions--mind control and the saucer projects--together, and they were henceforth indivisible.

In 1961, a year after the development of EM memory dissolution, the first "alien" abduction took place, but the technique didn't quite take in this instance because Barney Hill recalled that he'd been hustled off in a flying saucer by "Nazis" and subjected to biomedical torture.

Short-term memory dissolution proved to be an imperfect science. The 1976 Allagash abductions, for instance, involving four men, all professional artists in their 20s, night-fishing in the wilderness of northern Maine. Two of them were twins (long a fascination of Nazi eugenicists). The UFO approached.... The Alleges Four could remember nothing of the kidnap, but before long the nightmares began. They dreamed of "alien" abductors and invasive surgical procedures. Before long, they recalled hypnotic suggestions to forget the experience, the return to their canoe. One of the men woke up one morning with a tumor on his leg. It was surgically removed and sent to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology for an opinion. Later, the hospital could not explain why the tumor had been sent to a military lab. When the abductee requested his X-rays, the hospital refused to turn them over.

Concentration camps were once used for medical experimentation. In the absence of a Dachau, a highly sophisticated, classified escape vehicle and a fancy brain zapper would do. It was very nearly the perfect crime. There would be loose ends, of course, and the inevitable blowback...

"The Horrible Truth"

Clean-up crews would tidy up the messes. In 1965, Rex Heflin took a photograph of a flying disk near Santa Ana, California. Shortly thereafter, Heflin, a highway inspector, was visited by a man claiming to have Air Force intelligence credentials. The officer confiscated the evidence and it was never returned.

One approach to cloaking the origins and purpose of the program was the use of "experts" to gaslight the public and reinforce the post-hypnotic programming of the subjects. A cover story was promoted widely by hired hands of disinformation--George Adamski (owner of a hamburger stand one day, "contactee" the next, author of Flying Saucers Have Landed) and William Dudley Pelley (leader of the Nazi Silver Shirts) leading the pack with books and lectures on dashing blond-haired Aryans from the Dog Star and mantis-like "Grays"--they arrived, post-hypnotic (later virtual-reality-supplemented) "visitors" standing in for the criminals at the surgical table, man-handling and cutting into the human subject without anesthesia.

A welter of "experts," most of them with CIA, military or Nazi roots, cropped up like poison weeds to deflect attention from the black core of the Project. The most prominent was C.G. Jung, founder of analytical psychology. In his book Flying Saucer, published in 1959 by Harcourt, Jung attributed the UFOs to group hallucinations or "visual rumors" akin to visions of the Virgin Mary. Prior to World War II, Jung was the leader of a secret occult lodge that pandered anti-Semitic myths of Aryan supremacy, Thule-style, lavishly funded by Edith Rockefeller McCormick, daughter of John D. Rockefeller and heir to the International Harvester fortune. Jung, who hailed from a family of clergy and believe himself a deity, was president of the General Medical Society for Psychotherapy, an organization that promoted Nazi eugenics policy in its journal Jahrbuch für psychologische und psychopathologische Forschungen, edited by Jung.

The United States has a long history of human medical experimentation

Richard Noll, a Harvard lecturer, observes that Jung himself has emerged since the war as "a clairvoyant sage, a miracle worker, a god-man who earn[ed] his apotheosis through his encounter with the Dead and with God." But in The Aryan Christ: The Secret Life of Carl Jung, Noll has only scorn for "the most influential liar of the 20th Century." Like Jung, proliferating CIA and military intelligence psy-op teams diverted attention from classified air machines and human experimentation conducted by doctors from Dachau on Americans, all with federal sanction.

Roswell 'alien' hucksters William Moore (who confessed at the 1989 MUFON conference that he willingly circulated disinformation on behalf of Air Force Intelligence) and Charles Berlitz (a counterintelligence operative since the start of World War II, according to the Seattle Times-Post Intelligencer [sic]).

And William Cooper (a two-time military intelligence officer). Andrija Puharich (LSD experimenter, inventor of the CIA's miniature tooth implant, best friend of accused killer Ira Einhorn). John Lear (military-industrial savant of the extraterrestrial myth). Phil Corso (a domestic Nazi with Pentagon credentials). Bruce Maccabee (Navy, close CIA connections). John Mack (recipient of a $194,000 grant from Laurence Rockefeller), on so on.

The psy-op response to UFO sightings became entrenched as policy with one of the first 'investigative' panels, convened in 1953 and chaired by Princeton physicist and weapons designer Dr. Howard P. Robertson ' the very same Air Force officer who had directed Project Paperclip's advance field search teams assigned to unearthing Nazi technology in the immediate postwar period. Dr. Robertson went on to serve on the NSA's science advisory board under Paperclip's John Samford. Lloyd Berkner, another Robertson Panel 'investigator,' was a technical advisor to the CIA. J. Allen Hynek, the famed UFO 'authority,' beat Carl Jung to the 'saucer psychosis' theory in 1947 when his own UFO committee ascribed early sightings to 'nonexistent things' and 'psychopathic hallucinations.'

The Robertson panel recommended 'debunking' all UFO reports. 'The 'debunking' aim,' they wrote, would result in a reduction of public interest in 'flying saucers.' A program of 'education' to be designed by mental health professionals with bona fides in social coercion was to be 'accomplished by mass media, [especially] television, motion pictures and popular articles.' UFO organizations were to be 'infiltrated' by the intelligence sector because they threatened to 'influence mass thinking if widespread sightings should occur.'

One of the most respected authors in the field of UFO studies is Jacques Vallee, mathematician, astronomer and protege of J. Allen Hynek. Vallee has promoted the ET cover story in books released by Regnery Press, a publishing house with numerous ties to extremist right-wing fronts and the CIA. (Regnery is a spin-off of Human Events magazine, an ultraconservative propaganda sheet sponsored by the CIA. Alfred Regnery, son of the company's founder, has made generous contributions to Jerry Falwell, antifeminist Phyllis Schafly, Ed Meese and other obnoxious spokesmen of the fascist right. Among the 'conservative' propaganda tracts unleashed upon an unsuspecting world during the Cold War count William F. Buckley, Jr.'s God and Man at Yale, Whittaker Chambers' Witness, and Conscience of a Conservative by Barry Goldwater. Ultracons on the current Regnery roster: David Horowitz, Dick Armey, Ann Coulter and Gary Bauer, among others.)

But on occasion, Vallee has turned against the disinformation brokers and made oblique reference to 'the horrible truth.' When it was bruited by UFOlogists Cooper and Lear that 'aliens' had been spotted at Area 51, Vallee exposed them as quacks in Revelation: Alien Contact and Human Deception (not published by the CIA's Regnery, but Ballantine in 1992). He was appalled that stories about the Grays 'kept intensifying, drawing more and more rational people into a net of mystery, half-documented revelations and hushed-up suggestions that became increasingly ominous.' I

n response to John Lear's claim that the government has struck a deal with aliens, Vallee wrote:

There is no evidence in our own technology that we have had access to any dramatic inventions which an [advanced] civilization could surely have provided us.

Even the 'spaceships' are not exactly state-of-the-extraterrestrial-art'; they are, in fact, 'so unreliable that over FIFTY CRASHES are said to have occurred in the
United States alone and THEY are supposed to be a billion years ahead of US!' Vallee also sneers at cattle mutilations as an 'alien' covert op: 'On the contrary, the perpetrators always look for publicity, avoiding the easy prey of animals grazing in the wild deliberately killing cows and horses owned by civilian farmers near urban areas and on small ranches where they are certain to arouse public confusion and anger.' In other words, the mutilations are a psy-op strategy 'calculated to create terror.'

Matter Over Mind

Once upon a time, gray humanoids hurtled across space and time to plant tiny CIA radio receivers in the heads of bipedal guinea pigs. Saucer lore would have us believe that the celebrated 'visitors' have implanted thousands, possibly millions. If so, it's odd that every implant recovered should be composed entirely of terrestrial materials, undermining the theory that the implants are alien. An anonymous scientific 'skeptic' on the Internet explains: 'Our Sun and its planets formed from a gas cloud whose composition was strongly influenced by an unidentified supernova several billion years ago. Any other planetary system would have a slightly different chemical composition, having formed from another cloud and supernova. Thus, an 'isotopic abundance' test could determine whether something is from another star system. All the recovered implants as well as all purported pieces from 'alien craft' have tested 'terrestrial.' Material which differed from terrestrial ratios would furnish strong proof in favor of its alien origin.'

A terrestrial ratio suggests a human origin. Yet many well-known 'experts' still insist that the implants are 'alien.' Dr. Terry Johnson, a UFO and paranormal researcher'also a 'professional psychic''in Long Beach, CA claims that an abductee endures 'hundreds and hundreds of scientific experiments.' The 'aliens' and the 'rogue humans' who have sold out to them, Dr. Johnson lets on, turn the luckless human subjects into 'suicide runners.' 'A musical chord,' he says, triggers them to commit violence (resembling for all the world an assassin of the CIA Manchurian Candidate mold), a sound that 'has many different levels of information.' (A carrier wave') Johnson warns that puppet abductees are 'walking around in Washington, D.C. and other strategic places around the world' with 'alien' chips in their brains 'that are also audio/video cameras.'

A more likely explanation would be an implant of the type described by Dr. Stuart Mackay, a mind control scientist at UCLA, in Bio-Medical Telemetry, published in 1968: 'Among the many telemetry instruments being used today are miniature radio transmitters that can be swallowed, carried externally or surgically implanted in man or animals.' The transmitter, slipped into the usual body openings, could 'sense pH in the stomach, the site of bleeding along the gastrointestinal tract, radiation intensity [and] pressure changes in the bladder due to micturition.' It is hoped, he wrote, 'that these few preliminary words will give a feeling for the scope of this activity.'

A quarter-century later comes the 'Soul Catcher' biochip developed by British Telecom, an electronic doodad that Dr. Chris Winter of the company's artificial-life team acknowledges will have military applications. In the preliminary stage, the chip will be implanted in soldiers to form a communications network in the field linked to GPS satellites. Dr. Winter envisions a dual use for the implant in law enforcement: ' Police would be able to use it to relive an attack, rape or murder from the victim's viewpoint, to help catch the criminal.' The chip will be implanted behind the eye. It will record every thought and sensation. It constitutes 'the end of death,' Dr. Winter predicts. In a few decades, 'it will be possible to relive other people's lives by playing back their experiences on a computer. By combining this information with a record of a person's genes, we could recreate a person physically, emotionally and spiritually.'

'Soul catching' is only one application of the emergent microtechnology. The Center for Molecular Electronics in Syracuse recently demonstrated optically coupled random access memory (RAM). In February 1997, Electronic Engineering Times reported that work on such devices 'is drawing fire from civil libertarians and conspiracy theorists.' But this isn't a Fox Network fantasy. 'A microchip implant is simply one step beyond a pacemaker.' The 'mix of electrical engineering and medical technologies to surgically implant computer chip-driven devices is here today.'

Telepathic communication with 'aliens' reported by abductees isn't so far-fetched, either. In 1982, Chung-Kwang Chou and Arthur W. Guy, researchers at the University of Washington on a Naval Intelligence contract, noted in the Journal of Acoustical Society of America that pulsed microwaves 'have been heard as sound by radar operators since radar was invented during World War II. The earliest report we have found on the auditory perception of pulsed microwave appeared in 1956 as an advertisement of the Airborne Instruments Lab in Proceedings of the IRE. The advertisement described observations made in 1947 on the hearing of sounds that occurred at the repetition rate of a radar while the listener stood close to a horn antenna.' The authors note that the auditory pathways are stimulated by 'a microwave-biological interaction that has been well quantified and has been widely accepted.' The same sort of vibration that makes electrophonics possible 'can be produced by other means, e.g. by a laser pulse.'

And with it those 'suicide runners' can be made. Arizona killer Robert J. Moody fits the bill. He has never denied his guilt. Moody has openly confessed that in November 1993 he murdered Page Malone, 33, and Patricia Magda, a 56-year-old neighbor at the behest of 'Nordic-type aliens.' It wasn't a unique story'this was the third case of 'alien' mind control in Pima County history. Moody, a multiple personality from the intelligence sector, was no workaday serial killer. He once held top security/crypto security clearance status, one of the highest ratings in government. He had Navy Seal training. He had 'missing time' experiences in the Marines. He claimed to have been abducted by the 'Nordic aliens' repeatedly since the age of four.

Moody was unable to recall the murders. He had a bout of amnesia at the time of his arrest. But the 'aliens' paid a telepathic call on him in his jail cell and flashed projections of his hands engaged in the fatal shooting, stabbing and beating of Magda and Malone. He was found guilty and convicted on October 27, 1995. There was a grin on his face when the sentence was read - seems the 'aliens' had promised that should he receive the death penalty, they would 'resurrect' him.

The visitation in Moody's cell is a set of virtual-reality projections to the visual cortex, another capability of the mind-control mafia.

Psyops. Terrorism. Human experimentation. Propaganda. Torture. Mind control. It is a fascist formula, not a childhood fantasy.

Beginning in the 1920s, the fields of cancer virology and “public health” were virtually entirely funded by the Rockefeller family in cooperation with Alfred P. Sloan, chief benefactors and directors of the later developed Sloan-Kettering Memorial Cancer Research Center.

By 1930, John D. Rockefeller’s Standard Oil Company, had “married” the German chemical/pharmaceutical cartel known as I.G. Farben. Farben, Germany’s leading industrial organization, managed Hilter’s rise from ruin to riches as leader of the Nazi party. Farben’s directors—the cream of the SS and Third Reich—decided that Jewish people would best serve as slave labor in their corporate “concentration camps.” Hitler’s “racial hygiene program,” historic documents proved, evolved from the “scientific eugenics” efforts of the Rockefeller family, the British Royal Family, and other powerful political notables including Prescott Bush, George Bush’s father! At that time, primarily Rockefeller money built the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Eugenics, Anthropology and Human Heredity in pre-Nazi Germany.  Then, Rockefellers and friends instilled Ernst Rudin as the institute’s director. He later became Hitler’s chief racial hygienist. Margaret Sanger, the grand matriarch of “family planning,” and “world population control,” worked vigorously, at that time, to herald the necessary elimination of “dysgenic” people—mainly Blacks.

Erich Traub, a world class virologist who became Hitler’s biological weapons chief, and following World War II came to work for the US Navy under the top secret CIA “Project Paperclip,” likely received Rockefeller support before, as well as after, the war. A covert operation, “Paperclip” was largely administered by Henry Kissinger with full knowledge and support from the Rockefellers and their business managers, John Foster and Allen Dulles of the OSS/CIA. Thus, Erich Traub’s early work was likely being funded by the Rockefeller-Sloan cancer directorship by 1937.

High-tech slavery is alive and well on planet Earth. Ever since World War II when the United States Government's Project Paperclip sponsored the resettlement of about 2,000 high-level Nazis in the United States, the technology of mind-control programming has advanced rapidly.

"The Germans under the Nazi government began to do serious scientific research into trauma-based mind control," write Fritz Springmeier and Cisco Wheeler in their book, The Illuminati Formula used to create an Undetectable Total Mind Controlled Slave.

"Under the auspices of the Kaiser Wilhelm Medical Institute in
Berlin, Josef Mengele conducted mind-control research on thousands of twins and thousands of other hapless victims."

Mengele, known as "the Angel of Death", was one of the approximately 900 military scientists and medical researchers secretly exfiltrated into the United States, where he continued his 'research' and trained others in the black arts of mind control. This work in behaviour manipulation was later incorporated into the CIA's projects Bluebird and Artichoke which, in 1953, became the notorious MKULTRA. The CIA claims that these programs were discontinued, but there is no credible evidence that "The Search for the Manchurian Candidate" (the title of the definitive book by John Marks) ever ceased.

In fact, Captain John McCarthy, US Army Special Forces (Ret.), who ran CIA assassination teams out of Saigon during the Vietnam War, told his friend, LAPD whistleblower Mike Ruppert, that "MKULTRA is a CIA acronym that officially stands for 'Manufacturing Killers Utilizing Lethal Tradecraft Requiring Assassinations'". Thus the CIA's official obsession with producing programmed killers through the MKULTRA contained more than 149 sub-programs in fields ranging from biology, pharmacology, psychology to laser physics and ESP.

Network of Top Scientists Helped 'Angel of Death' Mengele

The "Angel of Death" Josef Mengele, who was long thought to have been the black sheep of Germany's scientists under the Nazi regime, was in fact supported by a network of elite researchers, new research has revealed.

Mengele founded a kindergarten and played the violin to children in a concentration camp, but also injected the hearts of children with chloroform, infected them with typhus and destroyed women's fallopian tubes with acid.

His catalogue of horror stories also included injecting children's eyes with ink, experimenting on people with cleft palates and poisoning 900 sets of twins.

Although his deeds are well documented, assumptions that he was one of a few who pushed back the boundaries of science for his own pleasure have been shattered. Six years of research led by a political scientist, Dr Susanne Heim, has revealed that the Angel of Death was not alone.

Archives have previously revealed that Mengele had assistants such as the Hungarian pathologist and prisoner of war Miklos Nyiszli, who said: "I would bathe the corpses of cripples and dwarves in calcium chloride and cook them in large pots so that their skeletons could be preserved in the Museum of the Third Reich."

But records have been unearthed that Mengele's work was supported by elite researchers attached to the Kaiser-Wilhelm Institute, whose scientists have been awarded more than 20 Nobel prizes.

Although their personal goal was not essentially to create a super-race for Adolf Hitler, they did not object to the scientific freedom that the dictator bestowed on them. Indeed, Mengele's supervisor for his PhD was the internationally acclaimed scientist Otmar von Verschür, who was renowned for his research into twins.

The Max-Planck Institute - formerly the Kaiser-Wilhelm Institute - decided in 1997 to fund research into its murky past. A spokesman for the institute said:

"No goal in research can justify crossing ethical boundaries.

"We wanted to discover how and why the limits of science were crossed and why there was such a blur between animal and human trials. We appointed a group of independent historians to get to the bottom of a mystery that has lain dormant for a long time."

The director of research for the Berlin-based project was Dr Heim. She told The Guardian:

"It was formerly believed that scientists in
Germany were oppressed by the Nazi regime, that there were only a few guilty people. But in truth, these doctors were in paradise.

"The distinction between politics and science was hazy and doctors had the freedom to do as they liked, so long as they could prove that their goal was to breed a super-race of strong soldiers for the advancement of warfare."

She added:

"We cannot deny that the work carried out at that time has helped the advancement of medicine.

"Until recently, the brains of people killed by euthanasia during the war were used for scientific research."

Dr Heim's research also revealed a possible connection between the Nazis and the deceased Adolf Butenandt, whose work on sexual hormones and protein belonged to the greatest scientific breakthroughs in the 20th century.

"I appreciate our revelations must be disturbing for the Max Plank Institute", said Dr Heim,"but the institute should be wary not to sit back and think that they have done their bit. They should use these findings as a platform to discuss science today and make sure that researchers keep within the ethical boundaries."

A warrant for Mengele's arrest, claiming he had murdered prisoners, was issued in 1959. He died in Brazil 20 years later.

No laboratory note or manuscript relating to his work has ever been found.

The bleak truth is that a careful review of the activities of the CIA and the organizations from which it sprang reveals an intense preoccupation with the development of techniques of behavior control, brainwashing, and covert medical and psychic experimentation on unwitting subjects including religious sects, ethnic minorities, prisoners, mental patients, soldiers and the terminally ill. The rationale for such activities, the techniques and indeed the human subjects chosen show an extraordinary and chilling similarity to Nazi experiments. This similarity becomes less surprising when we trace the determined and often successful efforts of US intelligence officers to acquire the records of Nazi experiments, and in many cases to recruit the Nazi researchers themselves and put them to work, transferring the laboratories from Dachau, the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute, Auschwitz and Buchenwald to Edgewood Arsenal, Fort Detrick, Huntsville Air Force Base, Ohio State, and the University of Washington.

During World War II that war,
U.S. intelligence was split between the Department of War (Army), Department of Navy, and a myriad of satellite organizations within the government under executive jurisdiction. Due to the code-breaking successes of the joint military intelligence program ULTRA and MAGIC, German and Japanese top secret communications became compromised. Most of the sensitive communication concerned critical axis military operations, but a small set of mysterious Nazi communications were dispatched to executive intelligence departments reporting directly to President Roosevelt, and later Truman. General William Donovan, director of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) put together a memorandum that summarized these special communications:

1. The reports of 'Foo-fighter' craft were eagerly sought by Reichsführer Himmler.

2 Occult materials and artifacts were to be sent to Berlin for in-depth study.

3. Experimental subjects were sought with genetic predisposition tothe occult.

4. Information about human survival under extreme conditions was being gathered
5. The Nazis were expending great intelligence energies against the
USSR.

6. Security was extreme around underground facilities at Peenemünde,Wiener Neustadt

7. Research was underway on Rockets, jet turbines, lightwave devices, and atomic devices.

8. Certain global coordinates were to be occupied by the Nazis at all costs. One location was near Washington DC, and others were located around the world at ancient religious sites.

The reports were noted, but in the confusion surrounding the end of the war, most were forgotten as Germany fell, and the Manhattan Project reached its conclusion against the Japanese Imperial Forces. The only communication to be acted upon was the hasty construction of the Pentagon, erected in January 1943 to enclose the Nazi coordinates of interest.

After the Nuremberg trials, an enclave of desperate top Nazi scientists, psychologists, intelligence operatives, and doctors hiding in Germany contacted the US. They convinced President Truman and a contingency of intelligence officials to engage in a series of secret briefings on Nazi war research, to be held in Washington DC. They would not allow the US to obtain these materials unless they could meet Truman personally. Eager not to let this purported technology fall into the hands of Communist Russia, Truman agreed. Allen Dulles and General Donovan were among those to accompany the president in these secret briefings. Truman was met with Nazi intelligence leader Reinhard Gehlen who disclosed documents on secret research projects.

The unbelievable claims of Gehlen were too fantastic to believe. Early in the German war effort, their atomic research facility was visited by two saucer-like craft in the early hours of the morning. The occupants were short of stature, with large black eyes, and spindly bodies. Eight occupants emerged, and attempted to communicate through telepathy their peaceful intentions. They were gunned down, but one managed to survive. Hitler was summoned to the facility, and psychics were used to extract information from the alien through telepathic means, and in desperation, brutal force. The alien appeared to have the ability to influence a person's actions, their thoughts, and hypnotically produce amnesia. Truman was shown photos of a hidden underground research facility, and the alien crafts that were recovered. One craft had been completely disassembled for reverse-engineering, with little success. The current location of the aliens was not known, since Hitler's top officials took them to a secret location. Gehlen further noted that the rumored information obtained from the alien was never revealed to those outside Hitler's inner circle, and presumably the information went with them to the grave.

Truman realized the wide implications of the information, and had the alien artifacts quickly transported to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, then under the command of General Nathan Twining (MJ-4) of the Air Materiel Command. A top-secret program was begun to research these craft, and to make sense of the many captured Nazi documents. Shortly thereafter, in September 1946, Truman authorized Project Paperclip to bring these individuals into the country. President Truman utilized the newly formed Central Intelligence Group, under the direction of Adm. Sidney W. Souers (MJ-8), to maintain the strictest control over the investigation. In short succession, General Hoyt S. Vandenberg (MJ-5) and Vice Adm. Roscoe Hillenkoetter (MJ-1) were to be brought in as directors of Central Intelligence as secret duties were assigned.

On July 2, 1947, a damaged saucer impacted the desert near Roswell Army Air Field in New Mexico. Scattered debris, the damaged ship, and the bodies of four dead aliens were recovered and sent to  secure facilities. Additional experts were brought onto the project. The medical biologist and physiologist Dr. Detlev Bronk (MJ-6), Astronomer Dr. Donald Menzel (MJ-10), and aeronautical engineer Dr. Jerome Hunsaker (MJ-7). In addition to these civilians, it was deemed necessary to bring in the military scientific heads of the Joint Research and Development Board's Dr. Vannevar Bush (MJ-2) and his assistant Dr. Lloyd Berkner (MJ-12).

Things began to happen that month. The military chain of command was reorganized and renamed. Top chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force were brought into confidence as well, due to the profound military implications. Namely, Gordon Gray (MJ-9), James V. Forrestal (MJ-3) and Gen. Hoyt Vandenberg (MJ-5) respectively. In 1950, Gen. Walter Bedell Smith (MJ) replaced Forrestal after his suicide at Bethesda Naval Hospital. Much later, after some disagreements in 1949 and 1954, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Omar N. Bradley (MJ) was admitted to Majestic-12 to help oversee critical and sensitive work.

The formal investigation of the Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) phenomenon began in December 1947 as Project Sign. The project was to direct their investigation reports directly through the Intelligence division of the Air Materiel Command headed by Gen. Twinning. Their reports were circulated too widely, so Gen. Vandenberg ordered Project Sign's Top Secret Estimate of the Situation report destroyed. The project felt that UFO's were interplanetary in origin. All of the top members of the project were reassigned, and Project Grudge was formed from the project remnants to make sure that there would not be any more security leaks like this in the future.

The scientific analysis of the new wreckage was begun in the fall of 1947 under the direction of Vannevar Bush. Together with the earlier research, three top scientists at Bell Laboratories were able to make sense of crystal electronic fragments as electronic amplifiers, and sketched out their function. Drs. John Bardeen, Walter H. Brattain, and William B. Shockley were quickly able to produce crude examples completely made from terrestrial materials created in associated labs. Microscopically blended composite materials were discovered but could not be duplicated. The theory of holography was detailed in 1948, but the first masers and lasers were not to be developed until after 1953. It was imperative that the sources for these materials be kept secret, and discrete scientists with top secret clearances be used whenever possible.

The greatest unknown at the time concerned the aliens themselves. None had survived to be interrogated by US personnel as to their intentions or motives for visiting the planet. After in-depth analysis of postwar Nazi and US intelligence on Russia, it was surmised that experiments were currently underway in the fields of parapsychology and mind control techniques. Could this be an indication that they were in possession of an alien themselves? Possibly, the Nazi's alien could have been recovered by their armies when they first advanced into Berlin before the other allies could arrive. Once again, the sinister cables concerning Nazi experiments into truth drugs, mind control, studies on the occult and psychic abilities of trauma victims and children of multigenerational occult families were brought to the forefront.

The US was baffled as to what to do. Truman reluctantly decided that the US initiate studies that paralleled the indicated lines of studies of both the Nazis and the Russians. In late July 1947, the National Security Council was formed under executive secretary Rear Adm. Sidney Souers (MJ-8) as part of this research initiative, focusing on the abilities of individuals to communicate telepathically. In September 1947, the Central Intelligence Group was reorganized, compartmentalized, and renamed the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). This group was chartered to seek global intelligence concerning research into these matters, especially targeting the Russians.

In the fall of 1947, the US Navy initiated Project Chatter, under the pretense of national security against the threat of communism. It was just the first of many programs that served as a screen for continuing the German mind control, truth drugs, and psychic programs. Project Chatter dealt with psychoactive drugs, hypnosis, experimental sonics, and the radio frequency control of human thought and behavior. The acquired scientists and doctors were of invaluable assistance to these projects, and given access to the most advanced technologies of the time.

In 1949, communist paranoia reached greater heights. The Russians had succeeded in their first nuclear detonation, and war criminals put on trial had eerie and zombie-like confessions to outlandish war crimes. The US was alarmed that the Soviets possessed powerful mind-control drugs and hypnotic techniques that could break the mind. Communist China entered the picture as the Korean War unfolded.

In April 1950, the CIA began Project Bluebird in an attempt to recreate the Soviet research using drugs, electronics, and hypnosis. Combinations of sodium amytal, benzedrine, and picrotoxin were used to induce a trancelike amnesia in subjects suspected to be double agents. These initial experiments were performed in Japan, roughly one month after the start of the Korean War. None seemed to produce what we were looking for, adult psychic ambassadors that could not be swayed.

In August 1951, the project was renamed Project Artichoke, and was run jointly by the CIA and military intelligence. It was to explore the possibility of controlling a person's mind, physical actions, and psychic abilities. It utilized interrogation, drugs, polygraphs, hypnosis, electro-psycho techniques, psycho-surgery, supersonic and ultrasonic waves, and explored Extra Sensory Perception (ESP) under these conditions. By using repeated electro-shock treatments on subjects, various vegetative and amnesic states could be produced, and new memories put in their place. Admittedly, the project drifted from its initial tenets when it was discovered that the amnesia was relatively permanent and undetectable. With the discovery of a new drug, Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD), it was hoped that the trance states it produced would bring us closer to the goal of creating psychically capable communicators who were utterly loyal to humanity.

On September 6, 1950, radar followed an unidentified object following a long trajectory through the atmosphere. It landed in the El Indio- Guerrero area of the Texas-Mexican border. Sandia Base commander Gen. Robert Montague for the Atomic Energy Commission installation in Albuqueque, New Mexico was quickly dispatched on a recovery mission, instructed to keep utmost secrecy and security. The remains of a crashed saucer and three injured aliens were rushed to Sandia Base. Two of the aliens died of injuries sustained at the crash, but the third one lived. A special team of psychic ambassadors, military, and medical personnel gathered there within days. The psychics were never able to penetrate what appeared to them as a psychic wall of defense, strange bouts of hypnotic amnesia, and alien attempts at mind-control. It remained uncommunicative in a lengthy solitary confinement. Later, the aliens and craft were to be moved to Scott AFB, in the new underground vault facility for reasons of security. In light of his discoveries, it was deemed necessary to involve Gen. Robert Montague (MJ-11).

President Truman had formulated a plan where these projects might remain in place across presidencies not harmonious to the basic tenets. This plan outlined the formation of Majestic-12, leaders in the military, scientific, and intelligence ranks that would always remain privy to the secret programs and initiatives in place. President-elect Eisenhower was found acceptable by MJ-12, and a briefing was made to appraise him of the situation. Eisenhower at first believed that Majestic should be expanded beyond just the twelve, due to the grave nature of the projects. He later resolved all his misgivings through compromise, and pressed for rapid results in all aspects of the project. In August 1953, Gen. Bradley retired from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and was assigned to various projects that required less visibility and more mobility, to be discussed later.

In February 1953, Allen Dulles (MK), who was present at the first Nazi meetings, was promoted to director of the CIA. He brought the 1952 joint CIA / Army overseas project MKDELTA back on track. In April 1953, Dulles masterminded a new parent project of vast proportions into the area of mind research. It was code named MK/ULTRA or MKULTRA, due to the fact that the 'Mind Kontrolle' projects were initially founded on the ULTRA code breaking efforts. Over one hundred subprojects were under the umbrella of MKULTRA. A vast compartmentalized network of government facilities, hospitals, universities, and research centers each played small isolated parts of the whole picture. Intensive use was made of the acquired scientists, medical doctors, and intelligence operators. He expanded the scope of the research heavily into the occult and psychic phenomena. He convinced Majestic-12 that the trauma studies of children could not be ignored any longer if we were to maintain mind research on par with the Russians and Chinese. Some subprojects that did not adhere to basic rights of human decency were weeded out, but admittedly, there were abuses of the liberties these visionary programs required. The critical finding of MKULTRA was that a previously overlooked disorder called multiple personality disorder (MPD), appeared to be the key to solving the problems faced by Majestic-12's mission to contacting the aliens, while maintaining operatives in control of the situation.

In the early 1950's there became two schools of thought based on the MKULTRA research. One group suggested a more clinical approach to conditioning psychic operatives utilizing drugs, electronics, and hypnosis. MKULTRA experiments on adults used drugs such as LSD (and later Psilocybin) to induce a dissociative state or trance. The operator could coexist in what appeared to be a higher plane of spiritual existence. The subjects, however, were especially prone to negative suggestions, especially in outgoing personality types. This lack of control doomed this approach as it was initially proposed. On the other hand, psychic and spiritual communication was proven to be enhanced, and the state could be externally triggered without the reintroduction of drugs in many cases. No amount of hypnotic preconditioning would allow the subjects to reliably complete any tasks in the real world when they were trapped in the inner world of their trance state.

The other group suggested a trauma-based multiple personality disorder (MPD) operative. It was theorized that adult patients with the disorder could have further personalities (alters) split off that would be ideal operatives. Early MKULTRA experiments on adult victims of childhood trauma and abuse, exhibiting multiple personality disorder (MPD) revealed this general profile:

1. They were prone to enter a trance state (alter) either by external triggers, or internal command after extended training. The alter was fully awake, functional, and moderately undetectable to the untrained eye. They were able to effectively hide secrets.

2. Certain alters were found to possess a high level of psychic ability in telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, electro-magnetic disruption, and telekinesis.

3. Although they could be made amnesic, paradoxically, the forgotten memories would be encapsulated in alters, with almost photographic clarity. They could not readily be trained to recall the information through external triggering, and were prone to be amnesic under stress.

4. The individuals appeared to rate phenomenally on the hypnotizability scale, would follow orders unerringly, and would exhibit qualities of extreme loyalty and duty. They tended to act stereotypically and highly ideosyncratically depending on how the presenting alter was originally formed in their childhood. Their behavior was erratic and unpredictable in their alter states.

Subsequent research was to remove most of the impediments described above, and introduce even more advantages. In the mid 1950's, a clandestine group within the MKULTRA program initiated a series of unauthorized trauma experiments on children between the ages of 6 to 12. The experiments were performed under the direction of Dr. Josef Mengele and Dr. Greenbaum, former doctors of Nazi Germany. Although their techniques were brought into harsh criticism, their results were astounding. It appeared that if a child with a disposition for MPD was systematically and scientifically exposed to trauma, the formation of specific types of alters and personality traits could be generated. Furthermore, the alters and personality functions could be recombined to exhibit any trait profile they wished. It was found that the youngest experimental subjects attained the highest levels of psychic abilities, and resistance to further trauma. They appeared to develop the disturbing ability to launch offensive psychic attacks on the experimenters themselves, rendering Dr. Mengele unconscious on one occasion for over an hour, but with no lasting harm. These facts were documented in their report to Dulles. Due to the outcry over their techniques, they were to be stripped of all security clearances at the end of the month. Using one of their youngest MPD subjects, they launched a successful psychic attack on President Eisenhower himself in 1955 in order to force the acceptance of their research. He was incapacitated for longer than expected. Subproject Monarch was created towards the end of that year.

Nazi Occultism,
UFOs and Operation MKULTRA

Walter Stein, a native of Venice and an British intelligence agent, spent many years studying the occult in Germany during the 1920s and 30s. There he became well acquainted with a fellow student of the arcane arts, Adolph Hitler. Stein followed Hitler's occult involvement very closely, schooled himself from the same texts. Hence, Stein became the world's foremost authority on Nazi Occult activity outside of the party itself.

Stein soon became frantic over developments in Germany. Hitler's rise to power coincided directly with his initiation into The Secret Doctrine, a gathering of the most elite and powerful Mages in the world. Further, the core of the Nazi party leadership was dominated by powerful occultists. Stein realized that although they had studied occultism together, Hitler had traveled down the shadowed path of dark magic. Stein knew that Hitler's admission into The Doctrine could be disastrous for all those who opposed him. With this power and a cadre of dark mystics, Nazi Germany had a secret weapon the Allied forces would be ill-prepared to meet.

The Nazi mystics sensed Walter Stein's presence, and in 1933 he fled to England, narrowly escaping forced service into Germany's Nazi Occult Bureau. Upon arriving in England, Stein warned Winston Churchill of the impending danger posed by Hitler's indoctrination. It was clear that action must be taken to either quell Nazi progress in matters Arcane or find a way to match it. Stein had further grim news, however. Stein had uncovered evidence while spying on the Nazis that Hitler's English intelligence network was alarmingly extensive. There was little chance of an English counter-occult program remaining hidden from Nazi spies. Churchill had no choice but to contact President Roosevelt and ask the Americans for help. Churchill arranged a meeting between the crippled President and Stein.

Roosevelt was skeptical, but decided to leave no stone unturned in his efforts to defeat the Nazis. Less than a week after Walter Stein's meeting with Roosevelt, one of the President's most trusted advisors was placed at his disposal. Stein was charged with the creation of an organization whose purpose was to monitor and analyze Nazi Occult activity. Most importantly, the group was to devise counter-measures in the event that mundane firepower alone could not stop Hitler. This group became known among it's participants as The Watch. The Watch was an eclectic collection of individuals whose only common thread was power and influence. Stein was the group's unofficial leader. Roosevelt's advisor acted as the president's proxy. Eleven other members brought the total to thirteen. Most of the original thirteen were high-ranking Military Intelligence officers or scientists, the most notable exceptions being a Catholic Arch bishop and a powerful and respected U.S. Senator. FDR kept the existence of The Watch completely secret, even from the American government and military, to avoid the inevitable public backlash in the event that government-sanctioned occult research ever be uncovered.

Despite the doubts of President Roosevelt, over the next decade the Watch was consistently and horrifyingly successful. Only Stein was unshaken by discoveries that threatened the sanity of the other members of The Watch. The conspirators used their authority and positions to fund and conduct research into the occult, gradually expanding to all areas of paranormal and psychic investigation. The accomplishments of The Watch's occult and psychic research allowed them to undertake several successful missions that kept the Axis occult power in check. The Watch's wartime operations included the assassination, by both mundane and arcane means, of several leading Nazi occultists and the recovery of certain artifacts of mystical significance, including the famed Spear of Destiny. By 1945, The Watch had become extremely powerful organization, and yet remained completely hidden from the world.

The end of the World War II was in large part due to the success of The Watch's endeavors in destroying Nazi occult power. That ultimate success also meant the loss of the primary impetus for the Watch's activities. As usual with any powerful and motivated group, however, The Watch soon found another Focus. From the debriefing of Axis scientists and review of German military records, the conspirators learned that accounts by Allied airmen of mysterious German experimental aircraft, dubbed "Foo Fighters", were erroneous. Axis command records revealed that Luftwaffe pilots reported identical craft, and assumed them to be Allied experimental aircraft. This evidence, coupled with similar reports uncovered from accounts during World War I and earlier, convinced the Watch that the phenomena of Unidentified Flying Objects deserved attention and investigation. While continuing its occult and parapyschology research, The Watch redirected a large part of its manpower and resources toward the study of UFOs and their possible source. It would not have long to wait for answers.

By 1947, UFO sightings had become more frequent. The U. S. government and military decided to institute new programs todiscretely investigate these strange phenomenon. Monitoring these investigations, unseen, was The Watch.

The Roswell Incident

March 17, Cascade Mountain Range, Oregon:

The Watch's parapsychology team gathers a group of psychics together in a research center in the Cascade Mountains. The team was to test the range of their psychic abilities by attempting to contact a similar group in New England. The experiment yields spectacular but unexpected results. Contact is made, not with the target team, but instead with strange, unearthly minds. The contact lasts only thirteen seconds, but that brief time would change the course of history. Although they could make out little of what they mentally encountered, the psychics become certain of one thing: extraterrestrial life is present on Earth.

July 1, White Sands Proving Ground, New Mexico:

During the flight monitoring of a V-2 rocket fitted with advanced guidance systems, radar stations begin to track a UFO moving over the missile range erratically, but under apparent intelligent control.

July 2, White Sands Proving Ground, New Mexico:

Under direct orders of Brigadier General Martin Scanlon, a 24-hour radar vigil is established to track the object. Through a contact in General Scanlon's staff, The Watch learns of the developing situation.

July 3, White Sands Proving Ground, New Mexico:

The Watch convenes to decide on a course of action. Two options arise from the discussion. Some members of The Watch believe that the crew of the UFO could be contacted telepathically, using knowledge gathered from the March 17 contact and subsequent research. They propose that The Watch open a line of communication with the aliens and attempt a peaceful exchange of information. They are opposed by those members of Watch overwhelmingly concerned with the danger posed by an unknown intelligent extraterrestrial race. They recommend shooting the craft down and analyzing the technology, so that when later communications are initiated, something is known of the aliens. After a long and heated debate, a narrow majority decides to attempt peaceful communication. The mission is designated Operation Dove. The research team of parapsychologists and psychics in the Cascade Mountain research center is enlisted. They establish a base of operations on an isolated mesa in the New Mexico desert. Complete consensus had not been reached within The Watch. Those who opposed Operation Dove, convinced of the folly of contacting extraterrestrial unprepared, form a second team. This rogue group secretly meets and initiates Operation Pigeon Shoot.

July 4, White Sands Proving Ground, New Mexico:

While the Dove team waits on the mesa top for the UFO to reappear, Operation Pigeon Shoot readies itself in secret on the far side of the missile range. A V-2 rocket with the experimental guidance system is hastily reprogrammed and loaded with high explosives. The exact order of the events that follow is unclear. The following account of the incident has been reconstructed from the chaotic records that remain. At 21:18 (local time), radar contact is re-established with the UFO that had been tracked over the last four days. As the Dove psychics attempt to contact the crew of the craft mentally, Pigeon Shoot finalizes their preparations and awaits the launch command. A few minutes later, the alien craft appears to notice the psychics efforts, stops and hovers within sight of the mesa. Encouraged, the psychics redoubled their efforts. Presented with the stationary target they hoped for, the Pigeon Shoot team launches the rocket. Three events appear to have occurred nearly simultaneously. First, the psychics succeed in contacting the alien minds in the UFO. Second, the V-2 rocket detonates on the hull of the ship. Third, an intense psychic assault devastates the assembled psychics. The ship immediately begins to accelerate away at an incredible speed, but is fatally damaged. The craft touches ground once, gouging the earth and scattering debris over a large stretch of a ranch near Roswell. Several miles later, it crashes into a cliff side.

July 5, Roswell, New Mexico:

Prepared, in fact hoping, for this eventuality, Operation Pigeon Shoot springs into action. By dawn the next day, the final crash site is located and a recovery team is dispatched. The recovery team loads the wreckage, including four alien bodies, onto trucks for transport to Roswell Army Air Base for temporary storage. At Roswell, the wreckage is packed away and loaded onto cargo planes for transport to Fort Worth Army Air Field. By nightfall the day after the crash, some of the wreckage arrives at Fort Worth. The Watch's influence in the military allows the Pigeon Shoot team to operate freely at the Roswell and Fort Worth without fear of questioning. Although it is obvious to the soldiers stationed there that something was afoot, none ask any questions. While Operation Pigeon Shoot secures the alien wreckage, Operation Dove attempts to salvage what they could of their team. Of the nine psychics who attempted to make contact, two die almost immediately of cardiac arrest and brain hemorrhaging. Another actually bursts into flame. A fourth slips into permanent catatonia. Three more soon develop debilitating psychoses. Only two survive with their sanity intact. After nearly a full day of damage control and debriefing, the Dove leaders realize they have been betrayed by other members of The Watch. Moving quickly, the remnants of Operation Dove pull themselves together and attempt to outmaneuver their new enemies. Using what military pull they could immediately muster, and aided by a little psychic sleight-of-hand, Dove manages to redirect one of the cargo planes heading for Fort Worth to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. There, a Dove team secures the cargo. Unbeknownst to either group, the chaos at Roswell hid the actions of yet another group of Watch members. These individuals, some of the most powerful of the founding members of The Watch, learn of the split in their group and are dismayed. They commandeer another of the cargo flights and take the shipment to Washington, DC. They make certain that the shipment they appropriate includes an alien corpse and an impressive amount of crash debris. The group, the plane and the cargo mysteriously vanishes. A very long time would pass before any hint of their whereabouts would arise.

July 6, Roswell, New Mexico:

By 03:00 the day after the crash, all Watch personnel had been evacuated from Roswell Air Base and White Sands Proving Ground, believing that all traces of the crash had been recovered. All are mistaken. While patrolling his property that morning, a local rancher, Mack Brazel, finds the trough and debris left when the craft touched down briefly before crashing. Later in the day, he calls the Roswell sheriff to report his find. The sheriff in turn calls Captain Jesse Marcel at the Roswell Air Base, thinking the wreckage is the result of a military test.

Captain Marcel investigates the touchdown site, patrols the trench and gathers some of the debris. He loads up his jeep with debris and returns to the Base. The Base Commander, visions of promotion dancing in his head, issues a press release that the Army had recovered the wreckage of a UFO. This news reaches the Operation Dove team at Wright-Patterson AFB. A few well-placed calls are made, and Captain Marcel and the debris are immediately summoned to Wright-Patterson. Part of the Operation Dove team returns to Roswell to oversee the recovery of the debris at the ranch.

July 7, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio:

Under orders from Operation Dove, General Roger Ramey, the Commanding Officer of Wright-Patterson, holds a press conference in which the Roswell press release and its officers are portrayed as fools for having misidentified a weather balloon as a UFO. The embarrassed Captain Marcel is ordered to pose holding fragments of a weather balloon claimed to be the recovered debris. In Roswell, Operation Dove agents finish cleaning up the debris field and escort rancher Brazel to the Roswell Base for three days of questioning.

July 8, Roswell, New Mexico:

The debris collected from the ranch is sent to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

July 9, Roswell, New Mexico:

Mack Brazel is released from custody at the Roswell Base and soon appears on a local radio show to confess. He explains that the UFO story was a hoax and that he knew the wreckage was just a balloon all along. The combination of this "confession" and the Watch's pressure on other witnesses keeps the incident under control. The American public accepts the story and the Roswell crash remains all but forgotten for over forty years...

In the aftermath of Operation Pigeon Shoot's betrayal of its comrades in Operation Dove, The Watch splits into two distinct groups. The stated purpose of both groups was the protection of the human race from the predation of extraterrestrial and supernatural forces. Beyond that, the two organizations developed diametrically opposed.

Aegis

The remnants of Operation Dove regrouped at Wright-Patterson AFB and set up a temporary center of operations. In an attempt to avoid a recurrence of the damage caused by Pigeon Shoot's treachery, a new organizational pattern was imposed. The new organization, modeled after the secret mystical societies of Europe, was composed of small independent groups or "Cells". The original founding group became the master Cell and selected members for the first generation of Cells. Each offshoot Cell had only a single contact to the "parent" Cell, whose true identity remained unknown. These Cells in turn recruited members into "child" Cells as necessary, and the process continued until an extensive network was established. The Cell structure minimized the information that could be revealed inthe event hostile forces infiltrated or uncovered any particular Cell. Were this to happen, only the "child" Cell and its contact to the "parent" Cell would be compromised. The new organization, which continues to this day, was given the name Aegis, after Zeus' magic shield in Greek mythology. The Operation Dove members who formed Aegis' original "master" Cell came to be called Aegis Prime.

The Black Book

At the same time Aegis was forming, the members of Operation Pigeon Shoot started construction on a secret underground base in the New Mexico desert. This base was to become the research center and headquarters of a covert project within the U.S. military, answerable to no government authority and unknown to all but its agents and a few highly placed officials, who assured that any investigation was curtailed. The project was funded exclusively through the portion of the U.S. military budget assigned to covert or "Black" projects, leading the project's secret sponsor in the U.S. Senate to refer to it as The Black Book.

Relations between Aegis and The Black Book

Despite the original common purpose of Aegis and The Black Book, the circumstances leading to the division of The Watch resulted in a great deal of animosity between the two organizations. This enmity was heightened as the Focus of The Black Book slowly drifted away from the protection of the human race and toward the acquisition of alien technology and knowledge by any means necessary. The Book's Military-Industrial Complex backers demanded concrete returns on their investment of time, power and monies. To this end, The Book began making deals with extraterrestrial; working with them, rather than against them. Over the years, the alliance between The Black Book and both the Greys and the Saurians grew very powerful. Aegis took a much harder stance on human-alien communication, in response to the disastrous results of Operation Dove. Because of the close ties between the extraterrestrial and The Black Book, Aegis came to view The Black Book as just as much of a threat as the aliens themselves.

The 1950s: Smoke and Mirrors

The 1950s were an important period of growth for Aegis. Strong ties within the American intelligence community allowed Aegis Prime to create a number of powerful first generation Cells. These Cells were composed of high ranking officers from various agencies, giving Aegis Prime access to a large pool of information and resources. These Cells formed the backbone of the Aegis organization and established a strong foothold in the military and intelligence community, in particular the newly created U. S. Air Force and Central Intelligence Agency.

During the CIA's creation, Aegis Prime made certain that Aegis operatives were placed in key positions throughout the new organization. The newly commissioned agency was to become Aegis' primary powerbase in the intelligence community, complimenting the military resources gained through the similar "guidance" Aegis Prime provided to the fledgling United States Air Force. The CIA soon became Aegis' single largest source of operatives and information. The free reign given to the new agency by the U. S. government allowed Aegis operatives to work under the auspices of the CIA without fear ofinvestigation.

Capitalizing on Cold War paranoia and rumors that Red China and the Soviet Union were achieving incredible results in their research into "brain-washing" techniques, the Central Intelligence Agency commenced research programs on mind control and human behavior modification. Aegis operatives monitored the programs, waiting to step in and take control of any that began to produce useful results. Should such results occur, the operatives would intercept and falsify reports to the CIA Inspector General so that only failure or very limited success would be revealed. In this manner, Aegis subverted any successful program's resources, and transferred the knowledge and further research to their benefit. Not all successful projects were "secured" by Aegis Cells, however. Some projects lacked properly positioned agents, others were just too distasteful. Still others were cancelled without warning or explanation, or ended with the sudden disappearance or death of a key researcher. These mysterious events lead Aegis to conclude that at least some ofthe CIA's secret mind control projects ended up in the hands of The Black Book.

The fear of Communist superiority in any area provided a smokescreen and apparent motive for a wide range of behavior modification projects conducted by the CIA. Early projects such as BLUEBIRD and ARTICHOKE concentrated on a few specific techniques, most commonly mind-altering drugs, hypnosis and brain surgery. These projects resulted in some impressive successes, but the most ambitious and successful project by far was MKULTRA.

The MKULTRA Project was in fact several research projects combined into one. Widely disparate subjects were being investigated, such as psychoactive drugs, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, cerebral implants, microwave radiation, Extra Sensory Perception and brainwashing through cult indoctrination. Most of these topics had been studied previously, and MKULTRA broke little new ground in each field independently. What made MKULTRA so successful was its study of the interaction and combination of these varied disciplines. These experiments yielded the MKULTRA team two very impressive programs.

Through a combination of cerebral implants, psychoactive drugs and microwave transmitters, the MKULTRA scientists were able to create hidden split personalities. The test subjects were completely unaware of their condition and exhibited normal, obedient behavior until the introduction of a triggering stimulus, often via radio or microwave transmission. The triggering stimulus induced a trance-like state in which the subjects would carry out preprogrammed orders without hesitation or question. After the mission or task was completed, the subject would revert back to a normal state, completely unaware of actions taken while in the induced trance. These individuals were often used as covert assassins or couriers, unaware of their own role and therefore nearly undetectable.

MKULTRA's experimentation involving parapsychology led another research group to develop a strong psychic Warfare (Psi-War) program. These parapsychologists took individuals who showed an aptitude for extra-sensory perception and subjected them to a regimen of psychoactive drugs, hypnosis, sensory deprivation and advanced meditation techniques. The result was a group of powerful psychics capable of impressive feats of psychic power in several disciplines. Unfortunately, the treatments often left the psychics addicts, insane, or worse.

The Psi-War program in particular caught the attention of Aegis operatives within the CIA. They prepared to take control of the MKULTRA project by the usual means. Before this power shift could be fully realized, however, rumors of the MKULTRA project and specifically the Psi-War program found their way to the public and the news media. Public outrage caused a Congressional investigation during which the CIA downplayed the success of the program and emphasized that the subjects were all volunteers, which was not, in many cases, true. The investigation caused the official end of the MKULTRA project in 1963. But as was often the case, the project lived on, hidden from the public, and exempt from congressional inquires or other governmental accounting. The new MKULTRA project remains to this day wholly under Aegis control.

As more and more Americans reported UFO sighting in the early 50s, the military's official denial of the phenomenon became increasingly suspect. Such categorical denial quickly became as much a cause of speculation as the origin of the UFOs. In 1952, the U.S. Air Force gave in to the public pressure to "do something" about UFOs and created Project BLUEBOOK, an official Air Force investigation into such reports. Given its subject matter, BLUEBOOK soon came to be entirely, although secretly, controlled by Aegis. It was Aegis' intention to use BLUEBOOK as a smoke screen for Aegis operations and as a source for public disinformation.

To reduce the possibility of a link being discovered between Project BLUEBOOK and Aegis, the BLUEBOOK staff contained no Aegis operatives. BLUEBOOK was a legitimate and official Air Force project, although Aegis made certain that the personnel chosen for the project were predisposed toward skepticism of the phenomenon.

The primary instrument of Aegis' control over the BLUEBOOK was another Air Force project completely hidden from the public eye, Project MOONDUST. Project MOONDUST was created in 1953 and charged with "the retrieval and exploitation of crashed foreign spacecraft". Within top military circles, MOONDUST's stated purpose was the recovery and examination of downed Soviet and Eastern Bloc spacecrafts and satellites, but the MOONDUST charter clearly made it responsible for the recovery of extraterrestrial spacecraft as well. For this role it was exploited heavily by Aegis, and was staffed almost exclusively by Aegis personnel. All UFO reports were filtered through Project MOONDUST before transmission to Project BLUEBOOK, and only those reports deemed of little significance or validity were passed on.

At the end of its study, Project BLUEBOOK concluded that there was in fact no substantial evidence to support claims that UFOs were anything but misidentified terrestrial crafts, weather phenomena orhallucinations. The Project's report was widely accepted by the populace and proved quite effective at undermining the credibility of those UFO reports that followed.

National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena

As always, there were those who were not convinced by BLUEBOOK's investigations and who saw the final BLUEBOOK report as the disinformation it was. Many of these people investigated UFOs and related phenomena on their own, attempting to uncover the truth and form their own conclusions. The most dangerous of these truth-seekers formed civilian investigative groups to better share information and resources. Fortunately for Aegis, these groups were often much too eager to recruit new members for their own good. Aegis Cells had little trouble infiltrating the organizations, subverting what information they managed to uncover, and guaranteeing that they never got too close to important information. Many of these groups were much more interested in finding evidence to support their pet theories than conducting serious investigations. This made them ideal mouth pieces for Aegis lies, and further degraded the credibility of all such organizations.

One civilian organization stood apart from the majority. This group could not be easily dismissed given the credibility of its membership. In 1956, Navy physicist Thomas Brown founded NICAP, the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena, an Unidentified Flying Objects and related events study group. Although NICAP was a civilian organization and contained many well-known civilian UFOlogists, a disturbingly large number of members were retired Air Force and CIA personnel. The Aegis operatives who were monitoring the group became acutely aware that many of the NICAP members had secret agendas. The operatives learned that some NICAP members were reporting back to groups within the CIA and other Intelligence Community organizations. Other members seemed to be working for an organization or organizations that Aegis could not identify. Due to the extent of NICAP's infiltration by agents from outside organizations with unknown objectives, little of the data it managed to collect can be trusted. Also, Aegis' inability to identify all the organizations operating within NICAP made Aegis Prime more paranoid than ever. Despite all this, NICAP served Aegis as a fertile ground for recruiting well-connected operatives and Cells.

During the 50's, Aegis often uncovered evidence that secret organizations, other than The Black Book, were at work within the US government. The most puzzling document discovered by a Cell within the CIA described the creation of a secret organization charged within vestigating UFOs and alien phenomena in response to a "flying saucer" crash near Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. The document detailed that group's members including high level government and military officials and respected scientists, and that its designation was The Majestic 12. The document, while superficially convincing, was plagued with errors that undermined its credibility. To those familiar with the actual events at Roswell, it was obviously a work of disinformation. Still, the events described in the MJ-12 document were uncomfortably close to the actual events, and the composition of the fictitious MJ-12 was reasonably close to that of The Watch. Aegis believed that either the writers of the document knew at least partially what really happened at Roswell, or were being fed information by someone who did. But the questions remained, who wrote the document and what were their intentions? Unable to determine if the document represented the discovery of themselves or The Watch or neither, Aegis destroyed the MJ-12 document and waited. They observed no reaction and the document did not immediately reappear. Aegis Prime grew even more paranoid.
